Following the success of the previous events, which commenced back in 2012, the 15th edition of the popular Dublin Toy & Train Sale is taking place soon on Sunday 5th. June. As always the venue is the excellent 4* Talbot Hotel (formerly known as The Stillorgan Park Hotel) alongside the busy N11 route south to Wexford from the City Centre. This fine hotel boasts a massive free car park which is capable of holding some 350 vehicles; the venue also offers on-going catering throughout the day and has the benefit of easy and level access and a great location just south of the City Centre.
Organizer Chris Dyer told us this week, “Our Dublin show is now very well-established on the south side of the City in what has proved to be a great venue where we are gradually building upon the attendances, show by show. We can accommodate some 85 tables all under one roof in the large and well-lit Shelbourne Suite and that still leaves plenty of room for everyone attending. The public seem to have really taken to the venue as have the traders and the June 15h show is already almost fully booked as far as stalls are concerned. We have a wonderful mix of traders with top train and model dealers and collectors from all over Ireland (South & North) as well as some from the UK. Doll houses & accessories also feature quite strongly as do books, dvd’s and similar items of transport-related stock”.
There will be many bargains to be had at Stillorgan as well as a massive range and variety of stock on sale and traders are very well aware that in the present economic climate they have to offer superb value for money in order to fuel their customers collecting habits! Traders are also keen to buy and to exchange as well so do raid your attic and bring along any surplus items. This is the second Dublin show of the year but collectors will be pleased to hear that two further dates have now been booked for 2016 and at the same great venue.
