Experience the charm of rural life at the Castlewellan & District Agricultural Show, nestled across 50 acres in the scenic Castlewellan Forest Park. Taking place from 9 am to 6 pm on the first Saturday after the 16th of July, this event is a delightful showcase of agricultural excellence.

Featuring classes for cattle, sheep, goats, horses, ponies, donkeys, poultry, pigs, rabbits, and dog agility, the show offers a diverse array of competitions. Explore the vibrant atmosphere with trade stands, food and craft producers, live music, vintage tractors, carriage driving, demonstrations, Young Farmers competitions, a pet show, a fashion tent, a vintage tea tent, and children’s amusements. Organized by a passionate committee, the Castlewellan Agricultural Show warmly welcomes visitors from towns and cities to discover the beauty of the countryside. Children under 16 are admitted free, ensuring a family-friendly day of fun and discovery.
