Moynalty Steam Threshing

Moynalty Steam Threshing is a community festival is run by volunteers in aid of the community and many different charities. The first Threshing was held in 1976 to raise funds for the Church extension, a profit of a £1,000 was made on a wet Sunday afternoon. The event has grown from strength to strength since and has an annual attendence in excess of 30,000.

 

People travel from far afield to demonstrate their crafts & exhibits and to provide entertainment for our visitors.

 

Celebrating 43 years of Moynalty Steam Threshing. Reflecting on four decades.

To mark this momentous occasion we intend to publish a book, which will provide a rare and rich insight into the origins and growth of this unique festival.

We will celebrate the contributions made by individuals and the community over the years.
