Galway’s famous market has been trading in Church lane by St. Nicholas’ Church in the centre of the city for centuries. There are hundreds of stalls selling fresh produce and locally produced crafts and a great variety of food available including Madras curry, Yummy Crepes and Japanese Sushi among many others. Market takes place on Saturdays and Sundays.

The market is open all year round on Saturdays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm and Sundays, Bank Holidays, Fridays in July and August and every day during the Galway Arts Festival from 12.00 to 8.00.

The Christmas Market runs every day from 9am to 6pm between the 14 & 24 December with lots of homemade Christmas foodstuffs and a lovely atmosphere with all the decorated stalls lit with mainly battery powered lights and candles.
