The “How to Start Up in Street Food” online course was officially launched on Thursday 17th September in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands! There was a great attendance from food truck operators, local dignitaries and of course hungry consumers eager to hear about the street food scene in the Netherlands and of course how to set up and succeed in Streetfood. After months translating and localising the course into four languages and covering five countries (Germany, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom) the course is now officially open for business!
Following on from a very successful pilot which we a variety of traders took part in earlier this year, the suggestions for improvements were incorporated and the detailed process of translating and localising the course undertaken by the www.streetfood.eu.com partners. The result is a course which all of the partners can be extremely proud of!
The course was created by five European partners to help entrepreneurs capitalise on the street food revolution sweeping through Europe. How to Start Up in Street Food will help you understand this growing industry and equip you to start up your own street food business. Covering everything from finance to social media and legalities to equipment, it will prepare you to make this exciting industry your own.
The course is available in 4 languages (English, German, Dutch and Spanish), and has been “localised” to reflect the legal and trading environments of five countries (Germany, Ireland, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom).
The course is delivered via a custom built training system, works across all devices and has been optimised to work on mobile phones – a lot of food tuck operators learn on the move! There are no time limits on how long you take to complete the course with the Smart save system and it takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
The course covers everything you need to know to set up and run a food truck including; legal requirements, finance , equipment, marketing, logistics, how to know if street food is for you, staffing and more!
