Cartsmith Event Carts:
Portable Displays for Markets, Events and Pop-Ups
A good stall display needs to show off your products and work for the way you trade. If you move between markets and events, transport and storage matter too. Cartsmith makes collapsible wooden carts that traders can adapt to suit their business.
The carts are made by Samuel Monteiro and supplied as unfinished wooden structures. Customers can paint and brand them themselves, or ask Samuel about custom sizes and configurations.
Standard carts and prices
Cartsmith currently offers two standard sizes:

These prices are for the unfinished wooden cart and collection. Cartsmith is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged on the prices shown.
The carts have locking wheels, and optional extras include side shelves and folding shelves. If you need a different size or configuration, Samuel can discuss your requirements and provide a separate quote. Delivery may also be arranged for an additional charge, depending on your location.
Make the display your own
An unfinished cart gives you the option to choose colours and branding that suit your business. The photographs Samuel has shared show how the carts can look once finished and set up for different types of trading.
The standard carts are made primarily from 18 mm marine plywood. If you plan to use yours outdoors, the wood should be properly sealed and painted with a suitable exterior-grade coating to help protect it from moisture. This finishing is not included in the standard price unless agreed separately with Cartsmith.
Katrina of Sips by Tom, who purchased a cart, told Samuel she would recommend it. She particularly liked its size and side arms, and said the sturdy wheels made it easy to transport. She also pointed out that the cart arrived unfinished, which is useful to bear in mind when planning your display.
Ordering a cart
Samuel estimates that a standard cart takes approximately two weeks to make from confirmation of the order and receipt of a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is payable on collection.
The carts are supplied as wooden structures. Cartsmith does not currently supply or install electrical fittings, gas fittings, plumbing or other trading equipment. If your business needs any of these, you would need to arrange the equipment and fit-out separately.
