Draft Casual Trading Bye-Laws Published for Carrigaline and Surrounding Areas
Cork County Council has published draft casual trading bye-laws covering Carrigaline and nearby areas including Passage West, Crosshaven, and Monkstown. This important update is now open for public consultation, running until 7 July 2025.
The proposed bye-laws aim to clarify and improve the management of casual trading, creating a more transparent and regulated environment for traders and the local community alike. The changes will help support vibrant, well-organised markets while ensuring fair trading practices.
Meanwhile, Mayo County Council has released its own draft casual trading bye-laws for Castlebar, also open for submissions until 7 July 2025. These regulations seek to modernise trading rules in the town and provide a strong framework to support traders and market activities.
