A perfect afternoon at Claregalway Castle, enjoy a coffee and light refreshments, hear some live music, and pick up a plant to start the Spring season.
The Spring Garden Fair is the first event of the year at Claregalway Castle and will feature many of Ireland’s best nurseries and rare plant specialists, including well-known members of the Irish Specialist Nurseries Association, for whom this is often their first event of the season.
It is a great opportunity for gardeners of all levels to visit the castle and speak informally with experts who can offer advice and help you choose the right plants for your garden, whatever its size or style.
This welcoming event is ideal for anyone starting a garden, refreshing an existing space, or simply enjoying a day out with good food, handmade Irish crafts, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Visitors can also enjoy live music throughout the day, including a special Spring Garden Concert by the Contempo String Quartet (tickets available on Eventbrite), along with performances from Silvermoon trad jazz.
A wide range of garden exhibitors will be attending, alongside craft and artisan food vendors, offering everything from rare plants and garden features to handmade goods and local produce.
Refreshments will be available in the Castle Tea Rooms, with food options including Handsome Burger and Americano Ice Cream.
Admission is €5, and parking is limited onsite.
