Our Visit to Djouce Mountain Market, Wicklow

This week we visited Djouce Mountain Market in Wicklow. We had such a lovely day. We where definitely feeling the Autumn vibes.

It is a such a charming little market with some stunning views of the Wicklow mountains,

The market is situated right at the front of the Turquoise Café & Restaurant car park, with a lovely relaxing atmosphere, live music, yummy food, plenty of outside space to enjoy and best of all some great stalls to browse, it really makes for a cosy Sunday afternoon for the whole family.

This market is a relatively new market, which only started in 2021 but it has amazing potential and a lovely friendly sociable atmosphere.

There is lots of great food to choose from, both in the Turquoise Cafe and outside in the market, there is also lots of seating  inside and out. There was live music and the coolest chicken food truck ever “Country Grill Rotisserie” looks great and tastes even better. Would be so cool for any private event its a stand out truck with stand up grub!

There was some amazingly talented craft for sale too, Natasha’s ceramics and art (@natashadrewceramics) were some of the nicest we have seen, gorgeous pieces great gift ideas, who wouldn’t love a beautiful handcrafted gift for Christmas.

Speaking of gifts, there were beautifully hand stitched leather items from “Turas Leather” really good quality items that will last.

We got some delicious cakes from “Eh Bakes”, some lovely jewellery, crystals, plants, fruit and veg, some really nice juice and lots of pumpkins!

Inside there was lots of lovely cosy seating and a bar with great food.   There was a lovely little shop ” Emerald Farm” with the most amazing oils, soap, jewellery, blankets, and so much more.  We really loved their gorgeous round lamps and matching tealight holders, such a unique gift, the tealight holders would be a lovely gift idea for a teacher or friend.

We spoke with Jacob who is running the Restaurant and Café there, Jacob kindly showed us around the beautiful grounds.

He also told us some of the future plans for the market, the market will close at the end of October for a little re-vamp but will be starting back again in Spring 2024.

So what's next ?????

So that means there will only be two more dates this year that you can get down to check out this lovely little market, the last dates this year will be Sunday 22nd & 29th October.

Lets show our support for this market and get down there before they close up for the remainder of the year.

If you would be interested in having a stall at the market for the new season of Spring 2024, they would be delighted to hear from you.
