Our Visit to Mountain View
We were so exited to visit Mountain View Market last Sunday, the views were spectacular in the mountains of the beautiful Kilkenny and the Market well that wasn’t bad either!!!!!
It was so fantastic to chat with the lovely Eliza who is running the show there and is doing an absolutely amazing job.
Eliza gave us such a warm welcome and told us about all the exciting plans to come for Mountain View Market.
We loved all the unique and diverse selection of handcraft items, artisan food, beautiful flowers, delicious food and some super cute art pieces that we where very tempted by. There was definitely something for everyone for sale and we picked up some lovely pieces.
We tried some lovely vegan cakes from “Blue Robin Bakery,” delicious crepes, churros and a to die for selection of cheesecakes from “Charly’s Cheesecakes” (they sold out fast so if you see one you like take it and run!!!!)
What to expect at Mountain View Market.
There was also a great selection of hot food vendors, they had everything from mouth-watering Lobster from “Day n Night” to chicken & chips with gravy and stuffing from “Country Grill Rotisserie” who had the most amazing catering trailer that had a huge chicken on top that we just had give a shout out to, we loved it so much we even tried to follow it home.
We got a recommendation from Eliza to try the Bao Buns from “Breaking Buns” which were so delicious. I would also highly recommend them, thanks for the tip Eliza.
The Market is really growing and flourishing and is definitely a must visit destination, we even spoke to a lady who had travelled all the way from Cork to visit the Market and she said “It was definitely worth the journey and she would be back again”
Even with the crazy thunderstorm that came out of nowhere and then vanished like it didn’t even happen, just made the day that little bit more exciting.

Country Grill Rotisserie – Food Truck specialising in Bavarian style Rotisserie Chicken.
We would recommend bringing a picnic blanket, the views are spectacular and there is plenty of space to sit down and relax, soak it all in and savour some of the delicious food on offer. There is also lots of picnic benches and places to sit for those who would prefer a chair.
The Market is dog & child friendly, super cute Llama’s to keep the kids happy and an amazing dog accessories stall “Wild Tails” that have the most adorable dog harnesses, collars and leads.
I picked up an absolutely adorable harness for my little dog “Frank,” keep an eye on our social media pages for some more photos and video of our day and the cutest photo of my dog “Frank” in his new harness coming very soon.
